My Favorite Cruelty Free Skincare Products

With 2017 coming to an end and 2018 quickly approaching us, I decided to look back at my new years resolution list to see if I’ve followed through with the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year. I wrote down over 50 new resolutions which included small goals like saying “I love you,” more to my loved ones to major life changing decisions like going skydiving. I haven’t been skydiving yet, partially because I’m a bit of a pansy and partially due to the fact that I simply do not have the time, but it’s mainly because I’m a wuss and the thought of jumping over 12,000 feet from the air completely terrifies me. Now I know I set some pretty drastic goals which I was unable to complete this year but I still plan on completing at some point in my life, however I also set reasonable goals that I was able to follow through on, and for that I’m pretty proud of myself – it’s okay to celebrate the …

Homemade Exfoliator for a Bright and Healthy Complexion

Everyone wants that Hollywood skin, but not everyone wants to pay the Hollywood price for it. Luckily for us non-superstars there are hundreds of inexpensive all-natural ingredients available at our local grocery stores and in our kitchens that we can use to achieve healthier skin. Dead skin cells can also lead to clogged up pores and excess oil which can cause blemishes …

If you’re like me you probably don’t have $300.00 dollars in spare change lying around for the sole purpose of getting your teeth professionally whitened, or maybe you just don’t want loads of chemicals sitting on your teeth eating away at your enamel. I try to avoid as many unnecessary chemicals as possible but that doesn’t stop me from wanting a nice, white smile. Whatever your reason may be, I have a solution and the solution is baking soda! This quick and easy method of removing surface stains from the teeth was actually taught to me by my mother. When I was younger she would brush my teeth with baking soda once a week to keep my little pearls nice and bright, and it ended up becoming a part of my regular dental hygiene routine. It’s fairly inexpensive and effective. Let me briefly explain how this method works: because of its’ abrasive texture, baking soda will scrub away any plaque build up, and because of its’ alkaline components it will help remove surface stains. Keep in …
